Of all the delightful places in San Francisco, The Presidio is one of the most diverse locations. It offers views of the bay, hidden forest trails, the brick and wood and cannons of the old military base, and easy access to Crissy Field and the foot of the Golden Gate bridge. So it’s no surprise that Shari and John chose to have their beautiful wedding here. After the ceremony under a blue, blue sky, we played in the Presidio, looking for serene settings and gorgeous light. I’m proud to say we found them, and I’m happy that Shari found John, because they’re a stunning couple!

Even though it’s stunning inside, it’s quite fun to play in the environment outside City Hall – just like we did with Emily and Jeff on this mostly cloudy SF day. They were a glowing couple and it was quite clear that they were madly in love. Quite appropriately, we emerged from City Hall to discover the Liba falafel truck. “Liba” is a variation of the Yiddish “Luba”, which means “Love”. Congrats, Emily & Jeff!

It was truly an honor to be present at this beautiful celebration. Anna & Nathan were wedded on a warm, sunny day, in the company of close family and friends. Music was everywhere. The guests serenaded them with homemade musical instruments (a personal touch from Nathan); during the ceremony, Nathan conducted six musicians in a piece dedicated to Anna; and at the end of the night there were musical performances by friends, and even the groom himself!

After there was Anna + Nathan, The Film, there was the trailer. This will be much more fun to watch if you’ve already seen the film! OK, fine, so I jumped on the bandwagon and re-cut my film as an Inception-style trailer. It was too much fun to resist. Nothing like a little dramatic music, fun editing and quotes taken completely out of context to lure us to the movie theater, huh?

Anna and Nathan were long-time New York City dwellers before they finally bumped into each other. Here’s the story of how it all went down. A huge thank you to A & N for dedicating 48 hours of their busy pre-wedding schedule to shoot the scenes for this film, and for providing candid interviews. A note: please watch the film all the way to the end. There’s a special musical performance by Nathan himself!

This was truly an exquisite day with an incredible couple. Monika and Vincent met in Paris several years ago, and tied the knot in San Mateo. Monika wore a Diamant Blanc couture gown from Paris. The wedding itself was an exciting blend of Persian and Tongan traditions. The church was decorated with tropical floral arrangements, and a Sofreh Aghd (a lavish fabric with traditional Persian items) adorned the altar. Members of the bridal party ground sugar onto a canopy over the heads of the bride and groom. After the touching ceremony, the couple was whisked away to elegant Ralston Hall, to a reception that featured two wedding cakes, traditional Tongan dance performances, and Samba dancers. The day was full of beautiful light and countless surprises. Thank you, Monika and Vincent!
